Status: Resident all year round
Scots Names: Wheelie Oe (Ayrshire), Muffie Wren, Scotch Wren, Muftie, Willow Wren, Leaf Watcher
Size: 9 - 10cm (4")
Habitat: Woodland, hedgerows, parks, gardens
Breeding: 7 000 000 breeding pairs, up to 8 eggs and 20 days to fledge
Food: Mainly spiders and insects, though will visit bird tables for seeds
Call Note: A sharp"tick tick" alarm call
Status: GREEN
