Habitat: Rivers, Estuaries, Wetlands, Lakes, Lochs and
Ponds
Breeding: Whooper swans pair for life and have up to
7 eggs usually, hatching around 36 days and
first flight usually after 120 days, less than 10 pairs breeding in UK - breeding
normally takes place at
breeding grounds in Subarctic Eurasia.
Call Note: Deep honking, trumpeting call - very distinctive
