The Wee Glen

The Wee Glen lies to the East of Dunlop off the Newmill Road, which is an unclassified road leading between Dunlop
and Neilston.

Parking: Limited parking for one car by the bridge 50 yards away from the entrance. Otherwise roadside parking in Dunlop.

Access: Formal access throughout the site with bark chipped surfaced paths. There is a small flight of steps at the western
entrance while there is a longer and steeper flight of steps at the eastern entrance.

Within short walking distance: Dunlop Millennium Woodland Nature Park

Description: The Wee Glen is a small area of woodland with a good variety of species. It is dominated by mature beech and
horse chestnut although there is also some ash regeneration.

The Glazert Burn runs through the woodland and provides suitable habitat for otter, grey wagtail and dipper.
