Status: Mainly Winter visitor        
Scots Names:
Speckled Teal, Tael Duik, Jay Teal
Size: 36cm
Habitat: Mainly marshes, ponds & lakes
UK Population: Scarce breeder (~2800 pairs) ~200,000 wintering birds 
Breeding: Up to 11 eggs and up to 23 days incubation
Food: Invertebrates, also seeds
Call Note: High pitched, repetetive squeaky note, almost like a squeaky wheelbarrow
Status: AMBER
