Scots Names: Black-a-top, Bushchat, Stane chacker, Stone chack
Size: 12cm
Habitat: Open country, new young woodlands, heaths, conifer plantations, coastal areas.
Breeding: Up to 23,000 pairs
Food: Invertebrates, sometimes fruits and berries
Call Note: A harsh 'Chack' like two stones being knocked together.
Status: GREEN
