Status: Resident all year round
Scots Names: Blue Hawk, Hedge Hawk, Blue Merlin, Spur Hawk
Size: 33cm
Habitat: Woods and fields, hunts along hedgerows also
Food: Birds (the larger female will take bigger birds)
UK population: 39,000 pairs in Summer
Breeding: Up to 5 eggs, incubation up to 33 days
Call Note: quite fast, high pitched ki-ki-ki-ki-ki-ki
Status: GREEN
