Status: Resident all year round

Habitat: Woodland edge, open grassland, towns and farmland
Food: Small mammals, insects and lizards
UK population: 55,000 summer pairs
Breeding: Up to 5 eggs, incubation up to 29 days
Call Note: High pitched, fast 'ki-ki-ki-ki-ki'
Status: AMBER
