Status: Resident all year round
Scots Names: Oak Jay, Kae, Blue Jay
Size: 34 cm
Habitat: Forests, woodlands and towns
Food: Especially fond of acorns, also invertebrates, fruits and seeds
UK population: 160,000 summer territories
Breeding: Up to 5 eggs, incubation up to 18 days
Call Note: Raucous screech, usually in flight
Status: GREEN
