Status: Resident all year round
Scots Names:
Black headed tomtit, Saw sharpener, Oxee
Size: 14cm (5.5")
Habitat: Parks, gardens, all types of woodland, churchyards and hedgerows.
Breeding: Over 1 500 000 breeding pairs, Up to 15 eggs, up to 22 days to fledging
Call Note: Common call is a 'chink' call, varied song is normally two distinct clear notes,
the commonest being 'teacher teacher'
