Hillside School Project
A
school grounds project began at Hillside School, Cumnock in December 2006.
The main elements to the project are to create a large living willow dome,
incorporating
a tunnel entrance and wheelchair access, together with a living willow tunnel
to a seating
area and a section of living fence.
An
existing unsightly area of bark chippings, which has become overgrown with
brambles,
will be cleared, covered with weed suppressant sheeting, filled with new soil
and sown as a
wildflower meadow. Areas of environmental art will enhance other parts of
the garden.
