Chapelbraes

Chapelbraes lies along the Northern edge of Catrine. The Northern boundary is the public road known as Chapel Braes and the Southern boundary, garden walls along Wood Street.

Parking: Parking for several cars in lay-by or large car park in Catrine.

Access: Formal surfaced access exists throughout the site. together with mown grass paths.

Within walking distance: Sornbank Plantation

Description:

Chapelbraes was planted in 1996 as a new mixed broadleaf woodland of primarily native trees and shrubs. There is mature, scattered and dense scrub of hawthorn, willow and blackthorn.

Bird Species: Chapelbraes provides a varied habitat suitable for a range of species;
