Habitat: Uplands, grasslands, estuaries
UK Population: Over 100,000 breeding pairs with over 164,000 wintering
Breeding: Up to 4 eggs with up to 29 days incubation
Call Note: High pitched, echoing 'curleeeeeuw' often heard when circling to land
Food: Shellfish, shrimps & worms
Status: AMBER
