Size: 48cm
Habitat: Forest and forest edge
Breeding: Up to 11 eggs, up to 27 days incubation.
UK Population: Over 5000 males
Food: Mainly plant material
Call Note: All kinds of swishing and bubbling noises, especially during courtship displays
at the Lek site in the early mornings.
Status: RED
